Tropical forests are disappearing at a rate that will have a dramatic impact on our planet.
Since 1950 half of all tropical forests have disappeared, and the rest will be gone in a few decades if measures are not taken soon.
According to a study done by the United Nations Food And Agriculture Organisation (FAO),
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP),
the World Bank and the World Resources Institute (WRI).
-Originally the tropical rainforests covered about 14.5 million square kilometres.
- Today about 7.5 million square kilometres remains. In other words, almost half of the rainforests have disappeared.
The amount of Carbon Dioxide emission in to the atmosphere each year is
rising dramaticly, but the amount of carbon dioxide absorption from the
atmosphere is being reduced due to the Forest sizes that have been reduced.
Because of the lack of Carbon Dioxide Absorption, Global Warming
continues to rise each year in a dramatic fashion.
Signs of Global worming have already affected the life on Earth.
You maybe Wondering what is the relationship between a decrease in Rainforest and a increase in Carbondioxide. The connection Is Photosynthesis: in photosynthesis plants convert carbon dioxide and water to oxygen and carbohydrates with the help of the sun's energy
You see plants take Carbondioxide from the Atmosphere and convert that gas in to Carbohydrates which are food substances that don't affect the biosphere.
The more Green Planets we grow the more we are reducing the amount of Carbondioxide gas in the Atmosphere and This decreases the chances of global Warming
